Amrita Jha
Amrita Jha (b.1989, Bihar) received a scholarship awarded to young artists from the Ministry of Culture by the Government of India in 2009. She completed her education from Indira Gandhi Open University. Amrita’s work has been exhibited widely in India and internationally. Her most recent participation was at British Council, ‘Tash KePatte’, organized by Art Eighteen Twenty-one. Her paintingshave been exhibited at Pete P. Peters Ellipse Balcony, Henry Madden Library, California State University, Fresno, USA 2012. The following year, her work was exhibited in eight different places in India and abroad which includes a group show of Mithila painters, Mithila Painting: Beyond. She has also taken active participation in residency programmes in India.
