ManilRohit (b.1978, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh) completed his BFA in Applied Arts from College of Art in New Delhi and Rohit Gupta (b.1985, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh) completed his BA (Hons) in English from Delhi University. The artist brother duo started their collaborative art practice in 2011. In 2016, they conceived, curated, hosted, directed and produced a Netflix show called ‘The Creative Indians’, to archive and showcase the mushrooming creative scene in India. In 2018, they undertook the initiative to connect and organize the creative industry in India, by launching a global online showcase and networking platform for the creative community called – have participated in several group and solo art shows in India. They have regularly participated at the India Art Fair. They made a shot film on domestic violence against women for brand Urban Clap, which won Bronze at the Abby’s advertising awards 2019, including special acknowledgement from UN. They have spoken at TEDx Bangalore on the idea of Creativity, titled, ‘Don’t insult Creativity by trying to define it’, conducted mentor-ship workshops at important design & art schools like Pearl Academy, The Design Village, Step-by-Step School, jury at talent competitions/campaigns organized by govt. & private entities. Presently, they live and work between Goa & Delhi.
