Mansi Verma
Mansi Verma (b. Delhi) completed her BFA in Painting from College of Art and MA Visual Arts from Ambedkar University in Delhi. She also completed as Certificate in Photography with Nitin Rai,from Sri Aurobindo Centre For Arts and Communication, New Delhi. She is the founder of Banerii, a handmade initiative started in 2015 to contribute towards hand crafted cultures and art practices to frequent back into public memory.She has participated in several art camps, workshops, solo and group shows all over India. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer under the tutelage of Dr. YaminiKrishnamurtiand has also participated in theatre production at the Spanish Cultural Centre in New Delhi. She has designed and conducted curated walks under the heading- “Indian Vernacular artsand its impact on Contemporary Art” at the 2017 India Art Fair, New Delhi, worked as an art educator for Story Tellers Collective, Happy Hands Foundation and was a research associate for ‘Yoga Chakra’by Sahitya Kala Akademi, Rabindra Bhawan. Her artwork has been published as a book cover for ‘EMBODYING MOTHERHOOD’ by Sage Publications and Yoda Press and 9 commissioned works for ‘Celebrating 30 years’ by Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS). Presently, she lives and works in Delhi.
