SOMNATH CHAKRABORTY
Somnath Chakraborty (b.1959) completed his BVA from Govt. College of Art and Crafts in Sculpture under Calcutta University in 1986. He is the recipient of several accolades, such as, Raja Ram Fund Scholarship, Karnataka 1983-84; Annual Exhibition, Govt college of Arts & Crafts 1985; Rajya CharukalaPradarshani, First prize in Sculpture, Govt. of West Bengal 1986; and J.K. Mukherjee Memorial Medal, Indian of Oriental Art, Annual exhibition, Kolkata 1986. He has Participated in several group shows all over India. Presently, he is a member of Calcutta Sculptors.
