Durgaprasad Chaganti

Durga Prasad Chaganti is a sculptor who holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Andhra University. His research focuses on integrating ancient Indian art forms into contemporary practice, supported by the Lalit Kala Akademi Research Grant Scholarship (2017–18).

Durga has received several accolades, including the Young Artist Scholarship Award from the Ministry of Culture, the State Award and Special Award for Drawing at the Kalananidhi Contest by the Prafulla Dhanukar Art Foundation, and the Annual Scholarship Award from the Kala Sakshi Memorial Trust. His practice reflects a deep engagement with India’s artistic heritage and its contemporary reinterpretation. His works are part of significant private and museum collections, including the Museum of Sacred Art in Belgium.
