Put Together, Somehow
ChampaTree Art Gallery presents A Man Arranged, a solo exhibition by Ravi Chunchula, presenting a new body of work that reflects on how human presence takes form within everyday life. Rooted in sustained observation, the exhibition examines the subtle ways in which individuals are shaped by the spaces they inhabit, the routines they follow, and the social environments they move through.
The figures in Chunchula’s paintings appear calm, attentive, and grounded within their surroundings. Rendered without overt narrative or dramatic gesture, they suggest states of reflection rather than action. A restrained palette of softened greys and earthen tones establishes a sense of continuity and stillness, while carefully measured accents of colour—ochres, reds, greens, and blues—introduce moments of inner movement, tension, and awakening.
Executed on rice paper, the works allow pigment to settle, stain, and breathe across the surface. The fragile, absorbent material plays a crucial role in the visual language of the exhibition, echoing the way experiences gradually leave their mark on perception and identity. Rather than presenting portraits of specific individuals, Chunchula’s figures evoke a shared human condition—one shaped through adaptation and attentiveness, formed through an ongoing dialogue between the self and its environment.
New on New Edition 2
A curated exhibition introducing 20 emerging artists from across India, showcasing diverse contemporary practices through our annual open-call initiative. The exhibition spans painting, drawing, sculpture, installation and mixed media, reflecting distinct visual languages and approaches. New on New is created to confront a reality that is often overlooked. Many young artists in India possess a strong technical foundation and a deep commitment, yet access to professional galleries often depends on visibility and established networks. This exhibition creates a space where the practice can be encountered on its own terms. In this edition, our focus is simple and firm. We look for artists who demonstrate care for their material, clarity of intention, and a steady, disciplined engagement with their craft. Their mediums differ, but each brings a thoughtful, grounded approach that deserves public attention.

Annual 2025
Annual 2025 marks nine years of ChampaTree Art Gallery’s journey, bringing together eleven artists whose practices traverse painting, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media. The exhibition foregrounds voices from across geographies and generations, reflecting on memory, ecology, identity, and the shifting textures of contemporary life. Rooted in diverse traditions yet attentive to the urgencies of the present, the works open a space where history and experimentation, resilience and renewal, coexist, offering audiences a glimpse into the evolving continuum of Indian contemporary art.

New On New Edition 1
New on New is a vibrant exploration of fresh perspectives and artistic innovation, bringing together a diverse spectrum of experimental, socially engaged, and traditional practices. This exhibition serves as a platform for discovery, with several artists debuting in the gallery space. From bold, thought-provoking expressions to works of quiet introspection, the collection embodies the dynamism and promise of contemporary Indian art. The exhibition celebrates the spirit of experimentation, as these emerging artists redefine norms through inventive materials, techniques, and ideas. Each work offers a distinct lens to view the world, reflecting the courage and curiosity at the heart of creative expression.
At Champatree Art Gallery, our mission has always been to nurture emerging talent and foster meaningful dialogues between artists and audiences.

Whispers Within
Yashvant Singh
At the heart of Yashvant Singh's creations lies a deep connection to nature and tribal symbolism. His paintings, akin to finding trees and monuments in a hazy atmosphere, transport viewers into a surreal world where hidden symbols emerge from beneath blankets of colour.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall
I am the Shakti you know it All
The concept of "women" transcends mere gender
boundaries, encompassing the essence of humanity itself. In our culture, the idea of equality isn't a question; it's a given. Women are acknowledged for their intrinsic value, their existence alone being enough to merit recognition and respect. The mirror, as a metaphor, reflects not just physical appearance but also inner truth.
So, what does your mirror tell you?

Weavers of Contemporary Narratives

Through Thick and Thin
Through Thick and Thin is a visual journey through the captivating world of abstraction, showcasing the recent works of six artists engaged in abstraction using a wide variety of viscosity in their paintings, thick or thin, constantly expanding their horizons to create a sense and style that unravel and travel beyond the structure of forms.
A Room Full of Phools

Transcendent Chronicles
The works of both the artists, Ravi and Madhu share a magnified focus on the intricacies of the lives of the working class in the present landscape of time. With the struggle to attain an existential balance as the axis, both the artists approach their art with a sensibility observant yet humane, allowing every individual character to emanate multiple personalities, an emblematic collective of different places and characters with masks in and out concurrently. The works capture and exhibit the nuances leading the circle of life through progression and balance.
Beyond the Sky, Sea and Nature
Rinku Chauhan
Rinku Chauhan’s works are omnipresent and absent at the same time. Like the water, the sea, and the sky and like tree trunks, they are not defined by their form and grow like the prop roots manifested in a geometrical abstraction. These works defy time, and the structures weft into strong outlines and silhouettes; they transverse between the structures of urban and rural and play in between the figuration and abstraction, intermingled into confined structures.
