Ravi Chunchula

Ravi Chunchula (b. 1989, Rayadurg, Andhra Pradesh) holds an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Hyderabad and a BFA in Painting from Osmania University. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Young Artist Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture. Before establishing himself in the mainstream art world, Chunchula worked as an illustrator for BBC and undertook numerous commissioned projects, including murals and restaurant designs.

Chunchula has exhibited widely in group shows across Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhopal, Bangalore, and Delhi, and has participated in numerous workshops, residencies, and art camps. His work was featured in a solo exhibition at the Museum of Sacred Arts (MOSA) in Belgium, where it is also part of the museum’s permanent collection. Additionally, he was recognized as “One of the Top 10 Artists to Look Out For” at the India Art Fair in 2018.

His works are held in various private collections throughout India, including a specially commissioned piece for the Ministry of Culture. He currently lives and works from his studio in New Delhi.
